    Description

Up for sale is an awesome vintage "Moonlight Blue"depression glass large footed platter in the “Caprice” pattern by Cambridge Glass!  Cambridge made the Caprice pattern during the 1940s, and it’s extremely popular and collectible, particularly in this beautiful light blue shade.  The fluid shapes in the glass really capture and reflect the light beautifully!  This platter is in remarkable condition!  There are no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, nicks or roughness anywhere, and the glass is nice and shiny bright with no stains or dullness.  The very few age-appropriate scuffs are very light, and can really only be seen when the platter is held up to bright light for close inspection.  It measures just a bit more than 14 inches across the top, and it stands on 4 short curved legs.  There's one tiny bubble in the center section that can be seen in my photo, but it doesn't interfere with the beauty of the platter.  The Caprice pattern can be seen photographed either in Coe’s “Elegant Glass – Early, Depression & Beyond”, or in Gene Florence’s “Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era”, where this platter is shown for .00.  The buyer will pay shipping and insurance (insurance is automatically included in the shipping calculator as a “handling fee” unless otherwise requested).  Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical.  Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!! Be sure to see my other fantastic items by clicking on the link above.
