In 1983, he left the Monastery and established the school he whimsically calls "Patience of Job: Training for Dogs and People." While developing the school and continuing his writing career, Evans reviews books for Dog Fancy magazine, teaches seminars and conducts lectures on many facets of the dog fancy.
