Introduce the tool to the unit until the light is on, then draw back until light is off
Adjust the height if needed with preset two allen screws on the side of the unit and turn the top grey part of the unit alongside the center threaded body.
When presetting diameter, rotate tool slowly for higher precision
Do not use caliper for presetting unit, only use gage block and preset gauge
The LED lights up instantly only when the probe and the bottom of the setter are touched by a conductive work piece, as shown below when touch by the caliper jaws. (The digital caliper shown in the picture is
