When she entered service in November 1984, the 44,348 grt mv
Royal Princess
was the largest new British passenger ship in over a decade.
She was transferred to sister company P&O Cruises as the
Artemis,
making her inaugural sailing on June 17, 2005.
In 2009 she was sold to MS Artania shipping, (Bermuda) and chartered back to P&O.
In 2011 the newly named
Artania
was chartered to Phoenix Reisen, (Germany).
