    All our tables and components are  nitrated to a case depth of .005 to .007 deep after that it diffuses back to its original hardness
    Nitrating is used mostly to prevent weld slag, it will not prevent scratching or if you drop something on it, it will dent.
    The Nitrating process we use does not cause color distortion.
    The surface hardness is 70 Rockwell after the nitrating process.
    All our tables are made out 1010 welded construction steel, not casted.  These tables will not distort during the nitrating process.
