    Description

Offered is a new old stock GE Pneumatic / Air powered motor mixer
several years ago my father purchased contents from a GE lab that was closed down
I think they developed lighting and high power bulbs at this lab
This motor was in a stock room and I think it was a spare part, I do not think it was ever used
It has a very high quality look and feel, the motor end is approx. 2" in diameter by 1 1/2" tall
The shaft is approx. 3 1/2" long from the underside of the motor to the end of the propeller mixer
The propeller can easily be unscrewed from the shaft, the bottom of the shaft is threaded
I tested the motor with my compressor and a Thumb Lever Air Gun that you typically clean parts with
the motor runs Very smoothly and it is very high speed, the motor speed can be adjusted with the air pressure
The propellers are approx. 1/2" in diameter so I think they would even fit into a test tube
but you would reduce pressure to reduce the speed in a small vessel
I suspect these Air motors were used around explosive chemicals
as there would be no sparks made like there would be with an electric mixer
One of the 2 brass pieces on the sides is the air inlet, it has an approx. 1/8" opening
The second brass piece is the air outlet, it is slotted to reduce noise as these run with a low noise output
The mixer has 2 hex head mounting bolts on the bottom so it would be easy to mount it to a stand
hopefully someone can put it to good use!..................................... Thanks for looking! ....
