    Description

BOTTLE CAPS w/ Cork Interior unused Herter’s lot of 121 homebrew Waseca beer
This is a box of 121 previously-owned (but unused) bottle caps with cork linings, originally purchased at Herter’s in Waseca, Minnesota (see box).
Before Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shop and Gander Mountain, a department store called Herter’s was the Sears, Roebuck of the outdoor industry best known for its waterfowl products. Launched and headquartered in Waseca, Minnesota, the company was the inspiration for today’s huge mail-order and big-box outdoor retailers. Their mail-order catalogs were jammed with hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor gear that could be delivered to one’s doorstep. Herter’s went bankrupt in 1977 and Cabela’s now owns the brand (customers can still order an assortment of Herter’s gear and ammunition).
